Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Bramer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Igor Laznya! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bramer takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Laznya lands with a kick to the temple. Bramer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Laznya slips a straight right by Bramer. Bramer misses with a double jab.
Laznya throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bramer misses with a wild combination.
Laznya throws a shot from downtown. Bramer moves away and avoids it. Laznya walks into a straight right hand from Bramer. Bramer ducks under a wild hook from Laznya. Laznya throws a head kick that Bramer semi-blocks.
Laznya tries for a takedown but Bramer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bramer catches Laznya with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Bramer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Laznya misses with a wild body shot. Johnny Bramer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Laznya pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Laznya. Laznya has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bramer finds it's way round the side to connect with Laznya's head. Johnny Bramer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laznya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Laznya prevents Bramer from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bramer gets back to full guard.
Bramer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laznya on the ground. Bramer pulls Laznya in close to prevent any damage. Laznya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bramer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bramer tries to get out of the position. Laznya wants to control from the top but Bramer keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laznya postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bramer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Laznya, into his guard. Bramer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Laznya is keeping the position for now. Bramer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Laznya is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Bramer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laznya swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brameris looking to pass into half guard but Laznya pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Laznya is in guard. Bramer wants to sweep but no luck. Laznya trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Laznya throws a nice looking combination but Bramer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Laznya ducks under a wild hook from Bramer. Nice body punch from Laznya. Bramer thuds his right hand into Laznya's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Laznya looks to land a body kick but Bramer moved away. Bramer throws a combination that misses and Laznya counters with a nice body kick. Bramer takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Bramer is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laznya lands a head kick!
Bramer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Laznya cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Laznya scores with a head kick.
Crunch! Laznya slams his shin into Bramer's torso. Bramer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Laznya circles away quickly and effectively. Laznya throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bramer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Laznya lands with a slapping head kick. Bramer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Laznya wants to control from the top but Bramer keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Laznya tries to free his leg and advance position but Bramer is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Igor Laznya dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Laznya thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bramer if he has to take too many more of those.
Bramer throws a combination that misses and Laznya counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Laznya lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bramer at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bramer is looking to reverse the position. Laznya is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bramer's shoulder. That is not cool. Bramer defending against the ground and pound. Bramer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bramer is working hard here to advance position. Laznya trying to control the action but Bramer is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bramer misses with a double jab
and Laznya counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bramer! Laznya has control of Bramer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bramer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bramer is squirming around, avoiding Laznya's attempts to control the action. Laznya might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bramer kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laznya is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bramer has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Laznya wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Laznya wants to control the pace but Bramer is squirming around nicely. Bramer is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bramer is controlling an arm, preventing Laznya from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Bramer wants to control but Laznya is having none of it. Laznya lands with some strikes. Laznya looking to control but Bramer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Igor Laznya showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Bramer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Laznya throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bramer's waist but Bramer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laznya off to one side. Johnny Bramer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A slow jab from Bramer misses its intended target. Bramer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bramer connects with a right hand. Laznya shakes it off. Igor Laznya seems to be getting the better of the standup. A head kick misses from Laznya. Bramer moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Laznya goes down! Can Bramer finish him!?
Laznya is rocked! Bramer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Laznya is still in real trouble! Can Bramer finish him? Bramer landing with the ground and pound. Bramer pushing down on Laznya's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Laznya takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bramer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Laznya seems to have recovered his senses. Bramer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Laznya's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laznya blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bramer. Bramer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bramer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Laznya! Bramer in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns Laznya that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bramer won't let Laznya get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bramer landing strikes, looking to finish! Laznya taking shots to the head. Igor Laznya has got the better of the ground game so far. Poor strikes thrown by Bramer there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Laznya is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bramer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Bramer landing strikes from the mount. Bramer postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Laznya in real trouble here! The ref calls for Laznya to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Bramer!
