Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sloppy Joe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Dwyer! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe shoots for a takedown but Dwyer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Joe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dwyer's waist but Dwyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joe off to one side. Joe instigates a clinch. Dwyer pulls Joe into guard.
Dwyer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dwyer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dwyer wants to stand up but Joe is controlling him. Dwyer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Joe throwing strikes but missing. Dwyer can't keep his opponent in guard - Joe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Joe works his foot free and advances to mount. That's one minute gone in the round. Joe cracks Dwyer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sloppy Joe dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dwyer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Joe sprawls well initially but Dwyer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Joe flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dwyer scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dwyer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Joe is pressing down on Dwyer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Joe is on top in guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Dwyer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Joe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Joe lands in his opponent's guard. Dwyer is looking to stand up but Joe isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dwyer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dwyer wants to stand and escape but Joe is having none of it. Joe cracks Dwyer with a solid left hand. Joe works over Dwyer with some ground and pound from guard. Dwyer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Joe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Joe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Joe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dwyer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dwyer pulls Joe in close to his closed guard and prevents Joe from doing any damage or advancing position. Dwyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Joe postures up and lands a big shot to Dwyer's brow. Dwyer is looking to stand up but Joe isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Michael Dwyer will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Joe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
