PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Kellerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kellerman has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kellerman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Simpson somewhat.
Nice takedown defense from Kellerman. No joy for Simpson on that attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simpson wants to control from the top but Kellerman keeps moving.

Kellerman scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A decent looking cross lands there for Kellerman.

Simpson tries for a takedown but Kellerman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Simpson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kellerman pinned against the cage. Kellerman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Simpson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kellerman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Simpson.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kellerman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Simpson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kellerman scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Simpson drops back looking for a leg! Kellerman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kellerman manages to kick Simpson off! Simpson jumps back into Kellerman's guard.

Simpson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kellerman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Simpson is standing up over Kellerman. Kellerman looks to escape but Simpson dives into side control.
Bart Simpson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Simpson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kellerman has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Kellerman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Max Kellerman.
I think Simpson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
