Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sim Polls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greig Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Duality as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polls fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Polls. Polls circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Polls throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Polls throws out the jab.
Polls throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Polls tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Polls to the ground. Polls escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Polls ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.

Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Polls walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Polls bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Polls throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Smith counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Polls!
Polls holds on, trying desperately to control.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Polls holds on and takes a little breather.
Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Polls, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
