The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laraque throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Laraque tries to clinch but Futcar moves out of range.
Futcar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Laraque shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Laraque takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Futcar has hold of Laraque's hands but Laraque slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Futcar is looking to escape.
Laraque passes to full mount!
Futcar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Laraque lands a big shot there that rocks Futcar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Laraque lands a nice shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Laraque putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Laraque cracks Futcar with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Futcar is rocked!
Laraque unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Futcar wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Laraque celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
