Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jakey Baws (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Hardgrove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baws shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baws showed some decent athleticism there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hardgrove can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hardgrove is refusing to be controlled, as Baws sits in half guard.
Baws is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hardgrove doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Baws.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Baws blocks the strikes from Hardgrove.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hardgrove is looking for a sweep. Baws is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hardgrove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hardgrove wants to control but Baws is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Baws shoots for a double leg takedown but Hardgrove sprawls well. He's pushed Baws's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hardgrove stuffs the takedown attempt from Baws. Baws gets slowly back to his feet.
Hardgrove throws a right hand that Baws ducks under and follows up with a left that Baws also avoids with ease.
Baws shoots in for a takedown but Hardgrove shows good takedown defense.

Baws's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hardgrove is holding on here and Baws must be using up a lot of energy. Hardgrove has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Baws gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
