Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bitnis thows a body shot but no joy. Bitnis drives through and clinches with Cordera against the cage.
Bitnis goes for a takedown attempt but Cordera pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cordera throws a front kick that sends Bitnis stumbling back into the cage. Bitnis blocks a head kick by Cordera.
Bitnis throws a right hand that Cordera ducks under and follows up with a left that Cordera also avoids with ease. Cordera throws a nice head kick!
It looks like John Bitnis has been cut. Cordera plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bitnis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bitnis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. A looping hook to the body misses from Bitnis. Cordera does a little dance to reset his feet. Bitnis tries to keep at a distance but Cordera has taken the fight into the clinch. Bitnis swings wildly with an uppercut but Cordera uses good head movement to avoid it. Cordera tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Cordera is pressed up against the cage. Bitnis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cordera down to the mat. Cordera avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cordera on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Bitnis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kato Cordera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bitnis. Bitnis looks gassed! Cordera drives through and clinches with Bitnis against the cage.

A nice inside leg kick there by Cordera. That's going to slow Bitnis down. Cordera fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Cordera lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cordera throws a sloppy head kick and Bitnis moves out of range easily. No luck for Cordera with that takedown attempt. Cordera throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A shot to de liver by Cordera. Beautiful body shot. Bitnis swings and misses with a shot to the body and Cordera counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Nice takedown defense from Cordera. No joy for Bitnis on that attempt. Cordera looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bitnis takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Cordera throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bitnis's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A slapping body kick lands there for Cordera. Cordera lands with a kick to the temple. Bitnis shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That has opened up John Bitnis's cut even more.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Cordera lands but Bitnis takes it in his stride. Bitnis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cordera cracks the inside of Bitnis's front leg. Bitnis thows a body shot but no joy. Cordera misses with a head kick.

Bitnis lands a jab. Cordera avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bitnis just misses with a punch to the body.
Bitnis scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Bitnis misses with a wild body shot. Cordera drives through and clinches with Bitnis against the cage.
Cordera blocks a body shot from Bitnis. Cordera looking to throw knees to the head but Bitnis is blocking nicely.

Bitnis tries to throw a body punch but Cordera avoids it by throwing Bitnis back against the cage. Cordera's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cordera gets caught flat footed, as Bitnis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitnis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bitnis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bitnis trying to control but Cordera is working from the bottom. Cordera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bitnis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cordera is keeping the position for now. Bitnis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cordera wants to sweep here but Bitnis controlling him for the moment. Bitnis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cordera swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bitnis misses the jab. Bitnis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cordera circles away. Cordera instigates a clinch. Cordera scores a nice knee to the body.
Cordera pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cordera gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cordera's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A slapping leg kick lands for Cordera.
Cordera punishes Bitnis's body with a nice straight punch. Cordera lands with a kick to the temple. Bitnis shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Cordera throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bitnis's head. The fight moves into the clinch position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cordera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Cordera as Bitnis shoots in. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cordera throws a head kick that Bitnis semi-blocks.
Cordera clinches up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cordera's half guard. Cordera tries to roll over but Bitnis keeps him under control. Bitnis is trying to work for a kimura but Cordera is defending well.

Bitnis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cordera manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bitnis has Cordera in his guard. Bitnis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cordera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cordera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bitnis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cordera defends it easily.

Cordera displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bitnis. Bitnis shoots in looking for a takedown. Cordera tries to sprawl out of it but Bitnis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cordera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cordera goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Bitnis is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cordera rather than just go for the knockout. Bitnis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bitnis lands in his opponent's guard. Bitnis has gone for a leg lock! Cordera sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bitnis's guard. Bitnis actively working from the bottom here. Cordera passes the guard and advances to mount! Cordera prevents Bitnis from getting the reversal. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cordera looking for a guillotine from mount but Bitnis is having none of it. Bitnis working to try and regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kato Cordera. I think Cordera has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
