The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quater stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quater wants it to stay on the feet.

Foolery feints and as Quater raises his hands in defense, Foolery changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Foolery drops back looking for a leg! Quater is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quater manages to kick Foolery off! Foolery jumps back into Quater's guard.

Quater knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foolery on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Foolery is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Foolery postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quater is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foolery, into his guard.

Quater got a little sloppy there for a moment and Foolery has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quater has managed to get both his arms back between Foolery's legs - danger averted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Foolery tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Foolery looking for a guillotine here but Quater defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quater won't allow Foolery to sweep him here.

Foolery looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Foolery has his foot on Quater's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quater works his way back into a safe position though.

Foolery working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quater doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quater manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Quater, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
