Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Mathisen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miroslav Krivanec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Mathisen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miroslav Krivanec! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mathisen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Krivanec shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mathisen defends it nicely. Krivanec blocks a head kick by Mathisen.
Mathisen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Krivanec looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mathisen fails with the takedown
and Krivanec counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Krivanec. Mathisen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Krivanec with a flurry of punches that miss. Krivanec has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mathisen wants to stand but Krivanec is controlling the position.
Krivanec drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Krivanec jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

 That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mathisen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mathisen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Krivanec has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mathisen has managed to get both his arms back between Krivanec's legs - danger averted.
Krivanec has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mathisen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Krivanec looks gassed! Mathisen wants to control from the top but Krivanec keeps moving. Mathisen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Krivanec's guard.

 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Krivanec looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Krivanec escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mathisen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mathisen trying to control the position from guard on top but Krivanec is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Krivanec is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mathisen is aware though and is defending well. Mathisen with a flurry of punches that miss.
Krivanec is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mathisen defends well. Mathisen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Mathisen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Krivanec is keeping the position for now.

Mathisen looking to sit in guard and control but Krivanec gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Krivanec stops Mathisen from standing up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Krivanec scoring with punches to the head and body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mathisen is looking to stand up but Krivanec isn't so interested in that idea. Mathisen has momentary wrist control but Krivanec slips an elbow through the middle.
Krivanec is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krivanec working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mathisen's head. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Miroslav Krivanec dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Krivanec shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Krivanec showed some decent athleticism there. Mathisen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Krivanec. Krivanec winds up and cracks Mathisen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Krivanec missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Krivanec sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mathisen defending well though. Krivanec lands with a punch from half guard. Krivanec working the head and body with strikes. Krivanec wants to control but Mathisen is keeping him busy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Krivanec gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Krivanec fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mathisen, pushing him back against the cage. Krivanec wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Krivanec has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mathisen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Krivanec gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mathisen.
Mathisen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Krivanec has him pressed against the cage. A short left from Krivanec. Mathisen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mathisen is looking to control Krivanec's arms but Krivanec gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mathisen has his back to the cage. Mathisen tries to break free but Krivanec pushes him back against the cage. Krivanec holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Krivanec can't break the clinch.
Mathisen goes for a takedown attempt but Krivanec pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Krivanec shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Krivanec showed some decent athleticism there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Krivanec working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Mathisen's thigh. Mathisen counters though and makes it back to full guard. Mathisen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krivanec on the ground. Mathisen has momentary wrist control but Krivanec slips an elbow through the middle. Krivanec is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Krivanec postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Krivanec prevents Mathisen from getting back to his feet. Krivanec content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Krivanec thows a big elbow that misses. Miroslav Krivanec has got the better of the ground game so far. Krivanec trying to control the position from guard on top but Mathisen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Krivanec throwing strikes from guard but Mathisen blocks nicely. Krivanec scoring with punches to the head and body. Mathisen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mathisen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Krivanec.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Krivanec shoots and misses and Mathisen counters with a head kick. That will keep Krivanec thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Daniel Mathisen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miroslav Krivanec. Mathisen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Krivanec counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Krivanec.
Krivanec has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mathisen uses from the top position. Krivanec looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mathisen is one step ahead there.
Mathisen is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Krivanec has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mathisen is looking to defend but Krivanec has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mathisen! Krivanec pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mathisen taps out and this one is all over!
