PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Beanhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin McKillop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKillop has chosen Nowhere to run as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Martin McKillop was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin McKillop!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beanhead throws a nice looking combination but McKillop bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Beanhead throws a series of punches but McKillop avoids them all with ease.
McKillop misses with a series of wild punches.
McKillop ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Beanhead dodges the punch combination from McKillop.
McKillop tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beanhead sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McKillop somewhat.
McKillop bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McKillop shoots in looking for a takedown. Beanhead tries to sprawl out of it but McKillop keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beanhead manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McKillop's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Beanhead crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McKillop - the referee stops the clock and Beanhead gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McKillop. Beanhead manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McKillop changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beanhead looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well McKillop has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
