Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpa goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Karl Jonas Angstrom has been cut.
Turpa throws a sloppy head kick and Angstrom moves out of range easily.
Turpa leaves Angstrom with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Turpa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Angstrom swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Turpa.

and Angstrom counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Turpa's guard now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Angstrom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turpa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Uuno Turpa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turpa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Angstrom moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
