Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hammar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is STAIND. John Connor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Hammar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Connor! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connor throws a head kick but Hammar moves out of range.
Hammar drives through and clinches with Connor against the cage.
Hammar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Connor shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hammar misses with a body kick. Hammar takes the fight into the clinch. Hammar prevents Connor from breaking the clinch. Connor tries to circle away but Hammar has him pinned against the cage. Connor manages to break the clinch.
Hammar lands a high kick!
Hammar throws a sloppy head kick and Connor moves out of range easily. Connor looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Hammar clinches with his opponent.
Connor is looking to break free of the clinch but Hammar has double underhooks. Hammar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hammar throws a nice looking combination but Connor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hammar has Connor up against the cage in a clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Connor looks to land a combination. Hammar sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

A head kick by Connor misses and Hammar counters with a nice uppercut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hammar has Connor pressed against the cage, preventing Connor from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hammar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Connor throws a front kick that sends Hammar stumbling back into the cage. Hammar is breathing heavily. Connor throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hammar counters by clinching up. Connor tries to break free but Hammar pushes him back against the cage. Hammar prevents Connor from breaking the clinch. Connor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Connor misses with a series of wild punches.
Connor wants to clinch. Hammar throws a head kick that misses and Connor counters with a head kick. That will keep Hammar thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! This has been an exciting period of action! Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Connor tries a head kick but it misses.

Connor circles away from the clinch attempt and Connor counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hammar is lucky that one didn't land flush. A head kick misses from Hammar. Hammar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Connor looks to land a combination but Hammar avoids it well. Connor misses with a body kick. Hammar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hammar clinches up against the cage. Connor tries to pull guard but Hammar holds him up against the cage and eventually Connor drops back down to his feet.

Hammar with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Connor looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Connor takes an elbow to the temple. Hammar displaying some good clinch control by pressing Connor up against the cage. Hammar trying to control the position but instead, Connor has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hammar into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connor is trying to break the clinch but Hammar is controlling him. Connor wants to get back to striking at distance but Hammar won't allow it.

Hammar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Connor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hammar is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Connor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hammar trying to control but Connor is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Hammar dominated that round. That's time! Hammar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Connor gets off balance looking for a body kick and Hammar counters with a nice uppercut. Hammar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Connor, pushing him back against the cage. Hammar lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Connor takes a knee right on the jaw!
Connor can't break the clinch.
Hammar lands an elbow that stopped Connor in his tracks for a moment. Connor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Hammar landing knees to the head.

Hammar throws a head kick that misses. Hammar moves in looking to clinch but Connor pushes him off. Connor throws a lazy head kick and Hammar counters with a big head kick but Connor shrugs it off. Connor shoots in looking for a takedown. Hammar tries to sprawl out of it but Connor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hammar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hammar avoids the head kick by Connor.
Hammar fails in his attempt to clinch. John Connor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor tries to bum rush Hammar with a series of wild strikes but Hammar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hammar wants to clinch. Connor swats away the attempt to clinch by Hammar. Hammar tries to clinch up. Hammar wants to clinch but Connor slips to the side and Connor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hammar won't be happy with that. Hammar wants to control but Connor postures up. Hammar wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hammar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hammar is working hard here to advance position.

Hammar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hammar wants to clinch and Connor counters with a left and a right that stings Hammar. Hammar is looking to clinch but Connor is avoiding it.
Connor moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Hammar with a nice cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hammar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Connor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hammar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Connor, pushing him back against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hammar takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hammar lands a nice elbow. Connor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Connor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hammar tries to close the distance and clinch but Connor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hammar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hammar pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jack Hammar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Connor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hammar tries to lock up and control but Connor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hammar gets back to half guard. Hammar looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but John Connor will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hammar lands an overhand right. Hammar avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick misses from Connor. Hammar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Connor gets the takedown into side control. Hammar is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Connor is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Hammar sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Connor decides to return to a standing position. A telegraphed right hand from Connor misses the target. Hammar moves in looking to clinch but Connor pushes him off. Hammar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Connor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hammar moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Connor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hammar working for a triangle but Connor defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Connor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hammar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Connor is looking to escape. Hammar is trying to control the action in half guard but Connor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Connor is trying to stand up here but Hammar is controlling him well. Hammar is trying to control. Connor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Hammar showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hammar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
