Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duke Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duke Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Slater! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Slater - that will leave a mark!
Miller slips a jab and a cross from Slater.
Miller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slater tries to avoid it but Miller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slater to the ground. Slater escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Slater looks for the body kick but Miller saw that one coming. Slater stuffs the takedown. Nice body kick there by Slater. Miller is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slater looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Slater goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Slater lands a left and a right that send Miller crashing to the mat, dazed. Slater thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Duke Miller has been cut. Slater tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Slater tries to bum rush Miller with a series of wild strikes but Miller uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Slater throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Miller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slater. Slater misses with an attempted mid kick.
Slater lands a nice looking kick to the body. Miller takes a step back to recover. Slater lands with a nice body kick. Slater misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Slater looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Slater will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Slater moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Slater throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily. Miller moves out of range of the body kick from Slater.
Miller moves out of range of the strikes. Miller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Slater sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miller somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duke Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Slater misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slater bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Miller's head backwards. Miller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slater but Slater pushes him off and we're back to square one. Slater fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Miller. Miller has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Frank Slater is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller blocks the body kick.

Miller shoots in but Slater avoids the takedown attempt easily. Slater lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slater. Miller shoots in for a takedown but Slater shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Slater throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slater pinned against the cage. Slater gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slater misses with a few strikes there.
Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Slater looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Slater actively working from the bottom here. Slater tries to kick Miller off but Miller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller seems to be looking for submissions.
Slater looking for submissions off his back. Slater tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Miller has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Slater tries to improve his position but Miller has taken his back! Miller has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Slater tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Miller pushes Slater away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
