Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Bobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Latish Festin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricky Bobby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Latish Festin! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Festin has managed to clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Festin. Festin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bobby just stands there and leans against the cage. Bobby pulls guard. Festin tries to free his leg and advance position but Bobby is retaining full guard. Festin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bobby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Festin's corner is telling him to maintain position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bobby has his foot on Festin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Festin works his way back into a safe position though. Festin throwing strikes but missing. Bobby trying to keep a closed guard but Festin is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bobby is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Bobby keeping moving, preventing Festin from controlling successfully. Bobby trying to keep a closed guard but Festin is proving a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Festin tries to clinch but Bobby is having none of it. Bobby has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bobby jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Festin walks away with a smile on his face. Bobby gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bobby shoots for a takedown but Festin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bobby is breathing heavily. Bobby fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Bobby. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A nice combination there by Festin.
Festin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Festin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bobby fails with the takedown and Bobby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Festin gets the takedown into side control. Festin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bobby is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bobby dodges the ground and pound from Festin.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobby is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Festin trying to control the action but Bobby is working from the bottom. Bobby tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Festin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Festin decides to stand back up. Festin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bobby stuffs the takedown attempt from Festin. Festin gets slowly back to his feet. Festin throws a chopping leg kick but Bobby manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bobby blocks a head kick by Festin.
A head kick misses from Bobby. Festin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bobby was covering up waiting for the punch and Festin finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bobby kicks Festin off and gets to his feet. Festin gets the takedown into side control. Festin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bobby sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Festin wants to stand but Bobby is controlling his arm. Festin trying to control the action but Bobby is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Latish Festin dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Festin pushes Bobby up against the cage in a clinch. Bobby tries to circle away but Festin has him pinned against the cage. Festin is working for takedown but Bobby is calmly controlling the position for now. Festin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bobby scores a takedown into full mount! Festin has given up his back here.
Festin tries to escape but Bobby has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bobby has good solid back control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Festin preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Bobby. Bobby keeps control of the position as Festin tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Festin rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bobby circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Festin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Festin wants to control from the top but Bobby keeps moving. Festin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bobby looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Festin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bobby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Festin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

A close second round but Latish Festin will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Ricky Bobby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Latish Festin. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bobby is looking to work some ground and pound but Festin has wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Festin is working an open guard so Bobby takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Festin with a poor takedown and Bobby counters with a nice double leg into side control. Festin won't be happy with that. Bobby wants to stand but Festin has his arm trapped. Festin is looking to regain half guard here but Bobby keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Festin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Festin tries to bench press Bobby off him but Bobby keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Festin wants to get back to his feet. Bobby controlling the position from side mount. Bobby sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Festin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ground and pound from Bobby seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Festin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bobby wants to clinch and Festin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bobby's guard now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobby is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bobby is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Festin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Festin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bobby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ricky Bobby. Well Festin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
