And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ouvidus Cerentus!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerentus throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Klishenko.
Klishenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cerentus pinned against the cage. Cerentus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cerentus doesn't manage to clinch there - Klishenko circles away.
Cerentus looks to land a left hand but Klishenko moved out of range nicely.
Klishenko wants to clinch.
Klishenko swings for the body but Cerentus moves out of range.

and Klishenko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cerentus!
Cerentus is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Cerentus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klishenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Klishenko wants to control the pace but Cerentus is squirming around nicely.
You get the feeling that Cerentus really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Cerentus is squirming around, avoiding Klishenko's attempts to control the action.

Cerentus is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Klishenko trying to control but Cerentus is having none of it.
Cerentus is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Klishenko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cerentus is surviving well by controlling Klishenko's body position as best he can.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cerentus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Klishenko is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cerentus has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cerentus wants to try and get back to his feet.

Klishenko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Klishenko showed some decent athleticism there.

Cerentus is trying to stand up here but Klishenko is controlling him well.

Klishenko not doing much here.
Cerentus tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Klishenko manages to move to mount!
Cerentus is squirming around, avoiding Klishenko's attempts to control the action.
You get the feeling that Cerentus really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Klishenko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cerentus is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Cerentus is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Klishenko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cerentus is looking to escape.
Cerentus is trying to stand.
Klishenko landing strikes from the mount and Cerentus is in trouble!
Klishenko connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Cerentus is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Klishenko has taken his back!
Klishenko scores with punches and elbows.
Cerentus wants to get back to his feet.

Cerentus defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Klishenko's arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Klishenko dominated that round.

Klishenko tries to clinch there but Cerentus circles away.
Cerentus works the jab nicely.
Cerentus lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Klishenko falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
