PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aguiar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Perqelez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perqelez has chosen cool caribbean beats as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jesus Perqelez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesus Perqelez!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perqelez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aguiar did well to prevent Perqelez getting side control.

Perqelez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aguiar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perqelez has managed to get both his arms back between Aguiar's legs - danger averted.

Well Perqelez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
