The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCold looks to land a combination but Benson avoids it well.
Benson defending well as McCold loads up on a big left hand.
McCold throws a right and a left that Benson avoids nicely.
McCold throws a jab when Benson was well out of range.
A head kick misses from Benson.
McCold takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Craig McCold has been cut.
Benson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Benson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Danga de danga de dang - McCold scores with a four punch combination!
McCold throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McCold swinging wilding here.
Benson lands a big head kick that sends McCold tumbling to the mat! Benson takes a step backwards and waves McCold back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Benson throws an absolute beast of a head kick! McCold is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
