Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connor Whitely!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bernard Watson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Whitely pinned against the cage. Whitely gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Whitely darts in and clinches Watson up against the cage.

Watson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Whitely can't fight it off and eventually Watson manages to take the fight to the floor. Whitely looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Whitely is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Watson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Whitely has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Whitely!

Watson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whitely doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whitely manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Watson is desperately trying to improve his position but Whitely has a good base and remains in mount.

Whitely can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Watson is looking to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Whitely perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Watson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Whitely is looking to improve his position but Watson isn't that keen on the idea.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Watson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Whitely sprawls well. Whitely wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Watson gets slowly back to his feet.

Whitely bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Watson's guard.

Whitely wants to control from the top but Watson keeps moving.

Whitely is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Watson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Whitely with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Whitely has clasped his hands together around Watson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Whitely tries to advance to mount but Watson denies him.

Whitely is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Watson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Whitely has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
