Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christian Gagnum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Choco Lobo!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagnum stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gagnum wants it to stay on the feet.
Gagnum misses with a wild combination.
Gagnum attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Lobo shoots in for a takedown but Gagnum shows good takedown defense.
Gagnum uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lobo.

Gagnum ducks right into an uppercut from Lobo.
It looks like Christian Gagnum has been cut.
Lobo shoots for a takedown but Gagnum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Christian Gagnum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Choco Lobo.
Lobo loads up on a big right hand but Gagnum slips the punch.
Lobo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lobo throws a body punch but Gagnum moves out of range.
Gagnum dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Gagnum scores with a jab. Lobo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Gagnum falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lobo counters with a good low kick that Gagnum was not able to check.
Gagnum feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lobo sprawling to the canvas! Lobo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gagnum finish him?!
Lobo is rocked!
Lobo throws a jab when Gagnum was well out of range.
Gagnum fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lobo, pushing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gagnum wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gagnum is trying to break the clinch but Lobo has him pressed against the cage.
Lobo keeps control of Gagnum as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Gagnum manages to break the clinch.
Gagnum throws a series of punches but Lobo avoids them all with ease.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gagnum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lobo wants to control from the top but Gagnum keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lobo rushes Gagnum and presses him up against the cage.
Gagnum wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lobo has him pressed against the cage.
Lobo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gagnum's efforts to push away.
Gagnum tries to break free but Lobo pushes him back against the cage.
Lobo swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Gagnum's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lobo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lobo throws a punch but it's blocked by Gagnum.
Lobo has Gagnum pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gagnum manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lobo shoots for a double leg takedown but Gagnum sprawls well. He's pushed Lobo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gagnum tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lobo is able to avoid easily.
Gagnum just misses with a punch to the body.
Lobo scores with a hook to the body. Gagnum takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lobo thuds his right hand into Gagnum's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Gagnum tries to clinch there but Lobo circles away.
Lobo throws a lazy right hand but Gagnum sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gagnum looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gagnum misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lobo looks to land a left hand but Gagnum moved out of range nicely.
Gagnum sizes up Lobo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Lobo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gagnum's efforts to push away.
Lobo swings wildly with an uppercut but Gagnum uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lobo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Gagnum is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gagnum is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lobo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gagnum's waist but Gagnum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lobo off to one side.

Gagnum dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lobo. That did some damage!
Lobo seems to have recovered his senses.
Gagnum lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Lobo can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Gagnum and Lobo drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Gagnum.
