0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson Kidd! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiely moves into the clinch. Kiely lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kiely with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kiely misses with an elbow strike.
Kidd has Kiely pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kiely manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kiely breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kiely will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kidd tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kiely counters with a nice uppercut. Kiely throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kiely throws a right hand that Kidd ducks under and follows up with a left that Kidd also avoids with ease. Kiely lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kiely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiely closes the distance and clinches. Kiely lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kiely tries to land a knee to the head but Kidd blocks with his arms.
Kidd wants to get back to striking at distance but Kiely won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kiely just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kidd's brow. Kiely prevents a takedown attempt there.

Kiely working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kidd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kiely walks away with a smile on his face. Kidd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kidd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kiely.
Kidd gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kiely counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kiely clinches up with Kidd and pushes him back against the cage. Kidd wants a takedown but no success here.

Kiely darts in and clinches Kidd up against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kiely manages to break the clinch.

Kiely throws a right hand that Kidd ducks under and follows up with a left that Kidd also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fedor Kiely is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A combination from Kiely does no damage. Kiely gets caught flat footed, as Kidd shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kiely avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kidd throwing strikes but missing. Kidd is breathing heavily. Kidd trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kidd stops Kiely from standing up. Kidd postures up in Kiely's guard and throws a big left but Kiely blocks it. Kidd throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kiely works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kidd is working Kiely over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kiely wants to get back to his feet but Kidd is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kidd loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kidd throws and elbow that misses. Kiely uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kidd's guard. Nice move by Kiely!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kiely preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiely stands up from Kidd's guard - Kiely perhaps looking for a knockout. Kiely tries a head kick but it misses.
Kidd doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kiely holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fedor Kiely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Kidd. Kidd takes an elbow to the forehead.

Kidd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kiely counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kiely lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kidd circles away quickly and effectively. A combination from Kiely does no damage. Kidd takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kidd throws a head kick that misses and Kiely moves into the clinch. Kiely breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick by Kiely misses and Kidd counters with a shoot takedown. Kiely fights it but they end up in guard. Kidd throws a strike but Kiely rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kiely would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kidd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kiely is one step ahead there. Kidd seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kidd throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Kiely might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kidd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kiely is one step ahead there.

Kidd has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kiely stands and steps away. Kidd gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kiely doesn't manage to clinch there - Kidd circles away.

Kiely stopping the sweep attempt from Kidd. Tyson Kidd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fedor Kiely is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kiely passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
