Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fabien Lamour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Lorusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Lorusso is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fabien Lamour!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Lorusso!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamour moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lamour misses with a low kick.
Lamour moves in looking to clinch but Lorusso pushes him off.
Lorusso throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lorusso circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd cheers as Lamour lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lorusso doesn't seem phased though.
Lamour scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Lorusso shoots in for a double leg but Lamour sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fabien Lamour seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lorusso clinches.
Lorusso prevents Lamour from breaking the clinch.
Lamour misses with a punch to the body.
Lamour is trying to force a seperation but Lorusso has the dominant position.
Lamour really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lamour wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lorusso fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lamour has had enough of the clinch but Lorusso keeps him there for the moment.

Lorusso manages to break the clinch.

Lorusso forces Lamour back against the cage and clinches.

Lorusso breaks from the clinch.
Lamour tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Lorusso counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

The referee calls for Lorusso to work.
Lamour wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lorusso has him pressed against the cage.

Lorusso breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lamour showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lorusso.
Lamour displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lorusso.
Fabien Lamour has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Lorusso.
Lamour clinches but Lorusso breaks the clinch

and Lorusso counters by clinching up.
Lorusso has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lamour is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lorusso is working for takedown but Lamour is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lorusso goes for a takedown attempt but Lamour pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Lorusso has closed the distance and engaged Lamour in a clinch.
Lorusso goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lamour prevents it.

Lorusso jumps guard and drags Lamour to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lorusso looks gassed!

Lamour wants to get up but he can't break Lorusso's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lorusso looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Lamour wants to stand and escape but instead Lorusso has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Lamour is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lamour will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lorusso sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Lorusso prevents Lamour from getting back to his feet.

Lamour wants to get back to his feet but Lorusso passes into half guard.
Lorusso stops Lamour from getting back to his feet.
Lorusso perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Lorusso escapes and gets back to his feet.
Lamour looks to clinch
and Lorusso counters with a slapping leg kick.
Lamour lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lorusso circles away quickly and effectively.
Lamour closes the distance looking to clinch

and Lorusso counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lorusso.

Lorusso pulls guard effortlessly.
Lorusso throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lamour wants to stand and escape but instead Lorusso has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Lorusso's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lorusso's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Lamour is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Lorusso dives into side control.
Lorusso in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Lamour tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Lorusso dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Lorusso throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lamour looks to clinch

and Lorusso counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lorusso.
Lamour tries to break the clinch but Lorusso is controlling the position.
Lorusso keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lamour's efforts to push away.
Lamour takes an elbow to the forehead.
Lamour wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lorusso fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Lorusso breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lamour looks to land a combination. Lorusso sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lamour tries to clinch but Lorusso moves away

and Lorusso counters by clinching up.

Lorusso tightens his grip and picks Lamour up, before dumping him to the ground. Lamour manages to land in guard.
Lamour knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lorusso on the ground.
Lorusso's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lorusso is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lamour is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lamour wants to get back to his feet but Lorusso passes into half guard.
Lorusso perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Lorusso decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Lamour wants to clinch but Lorusso slips to the side
and Lorusso counters with a low kick, right behind Lamour 's knee.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lamour throws a series of punches but Lorusso moves out of range.
Lamour wants to clinch but Lorusso slips to the side

and Lorusso counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lorusso sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Lamour is looking to stand back up but Lorusso counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lamour.
Lorusso frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lamour has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Lamour won't enjoy being in this position. Lorusso looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Lamour is tapping - it's over boys! Lorusso picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jason Lorusso!
