Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ettore Masiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ettore Masiero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remy Hoost! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoost tries to bum rush Masiero with a series of wild strikes but Masiero uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Remy Hoost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Masiero tries to keep at a distance but Hoost has taken the fight into the clinch. Masiero wants to get back to striking at distance but Hoost won't allow it.
Masiero is trying to maintain a safe position but Hoost gets an underhook and turns Masiero into the cage. Hoost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Masiero attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Masiero throws a leg kick but Hoost sees it coming and moves out of range. Hoost closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Masiero to the mat! Masiero manages to get full guard. Hoost trying to control but Masiero is working from the bottom. Hoost postures up.
Hoost must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hoost trying to control the position from guard on top but Masiero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Masiero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hoost manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Masiero wants to control from the top but Hoost keeps moving. Masiero slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on Hoost's face as Masiero controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masiero decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hoost to his feet. Hoost changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Masiero looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Masiero sneaks back into half guard. Hoost decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Hoost will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hoost closes the distance and pushes Masiero back into the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hoost as Masiero tries to tie him up. Hoost tries to pull guard but Masiero won't allow it.
Hoost is trying to trip Masiero. He has hold of a leg but Masiero is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hoost persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Hoost looks gassed! Hoost loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Masiero controlling Hoost's posture. Hoost missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Masiero wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masiero pulls Hoost in to control the position. Masiero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hoost's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masiero passes Hoost's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Masiero looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Masiero wants to pass to mount but Hoost is defending the position. Masiero passes to full mount! Masiero controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Masiero's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hoost swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Masiero controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ettore Masiero just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Masiero stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoost. Hoost gets slowly back to his feet. Ettore Masiero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Remy Hoost. Masiero throws and low kick but Hoost moves out of range easily. Masiero throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hoost clinches up with Masiero and pushes him back against the cage. Masiero is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hoost is keeping busy. Hoost is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Masiero is keeping busy. Masiero is trying to stall.

Masiero slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Masiero moves into full mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Masiero controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ettore Masiero will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hoost tries to clinch but Masiero is having none of it. Masiero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoost. Masiero attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Masiero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hoost throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Masiero was covering up waiting for the punch and Hoost finishes the takedown easily into guard. Masiero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hoost manages to get himself to full guard.
Masiero slips nicely into half guard. Masiero is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hoost is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ettore Masiero just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Masiero throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hoost. Hoost is looking to clinch but Masiero is avoiding it.
Hoost shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Masiero napping and manages to drive through into side control! Masiero manages to get back to half guard. Masiero is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hoost's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hoost's back! I would not like to be Hoost right now.

Masiero turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Masiero buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Masiero thuds his shin into the meat of Hoost's side. Masiero scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hoost crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Masiero - the referee stops the clock and Hoost gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Masiero. Hoost manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Masiero scores with a head kick.
Masiero throws a nice outside leg kick. Some bone on bone action there as Hoost checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Masiero scores with a leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Masiero looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Masiero. Masiero throws a leg kick which misses Hoost's front leg but catches the back leg as Hoost tries to avoid it. Masiero throws a head kick that half lands.
Masiero throws a low kick, looking for Hoost's leg but Hoost calmly moves out of range. Masiero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Remy Hoost is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. An inside leg kick lands from Masiero. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Masiero, right into the meat.

Masiero connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Masiero fakes the leg kick and cracks Hoost in the body. Masiero motions for Hoost to come forward. Masiero throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Masiero misses with a low kick.

Hoost goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Masiero throws a sloppy head kick and Hoost moves out of range easily. Masiero does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Masiero lands a head kick!
Hoost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Masiero paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoost steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Masiero. That one must have hurt. Masiero throws a nice inside leg kick. Hoost has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Masiero. A chopping leg kick lands by Masiero. Hoost misses with a head kick.
Masiero turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Masiero throws a leg kick but Hoost sees it coming and moves out of range. Masiero connects with a solid leg kick. Hoost is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Masiero. Masiero swats away the attempt to clinch by Hoost. Masiero throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Masiero lands with a kick to the temple. Hoost shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head kick misses from Masiero. Hoost takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hoost fails in his attempt to clinch. Masiero throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Masiero.
Hoost wants to clinch. Masiero fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hoost is out of range. Hoost shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Masiero defends it nicely. Masiero throws a head kick but Hoost moves out of range.

A head kick from Hoost lands but Masiero takes it in his stride. Hoost stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Masiero.

Masiero feints and then cracks Hoost's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hoost down. Masiero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Remy Hoost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Masiero swings away with a leg kick that misses. Masiero looks for the body kick but Hoost saw that one coming. Masiero buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Masiero fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hoost checks it well. Masiero throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hoost's head. Hoost takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ettore Masiero is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Masiero with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Masiero throws a sloppy head kick and Hoost moves out of range easily. Masiero is looking to slow Hoost down with leg kicks. Masiero connects with a solid leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Masiero lands with a slapping head kick. Masiero fakes the leg kick and cracks Hoost in the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Masiero throws a leg kick but Hoost sees it coming and checks it nicely. Masiero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Ettore Masiero showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Masiero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
