Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mayerhoffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Roberts might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Heart of a Lion. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts drives through and clinches with Mayerhoffer against the cage.
Roberts jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mayerhoffer walks away with a smile on his face. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Roberts takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mayerhoffer loads up on a big right hand but Roberts slips the punch.
Mayerhoffer lands a slapping body shot.
Roberts fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roberts avoids the body shot from Mayerhoffer.
Nice defenses there by Roberts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mayerhoffer. Roberts does a little dance to reset his feet.
Roberts takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A swing and a miss from Mayerhoffer.
A nice combination there by Mayerhoffer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mayerhoffer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Roberts defending well as Mayerhoffer loads up on a big left hand.
Roberts clinches.
Roberts jumps guard but Mayerhoffer stands there with Roberts around his waist. Roberts gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Roberts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mayerhoffer just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mayerhoffer has Roberts pushed against the cage.
Mayerhoffer makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Roberts fails to pull guard.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Roberts gets control of Mayerhoffer's arms and successfully pulls guard. Roberts will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Mayerhoffer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roberts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mayerhoffer has managed to get both his arms back between Roberts's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roberts is breathing heavily.
Mayerhoffer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mayerhoffer slips nicely into half guard.
Mayerhoffer is trying to control the action in half guard but Roberts is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Roberts is looking for a sweep. Mayerhoffer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mayerhoffer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Roberts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mayerhoffer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mayerhoffer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Roberts is refusing to be controlled, as Mayerhoffer sits in half guard.
Roberts is trying to control but can't.
Mayerhoffer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Roberts defends it well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mayerhoffer thows a body shot but no joy.
Roberts blocks a jab.

Roberts instigates a clinch.
Roberts tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mayerhoffer smiles and moves away.
Roberts fails to land the takedown.
Mayerhoffer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mayerhoffer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roberts.
Roberts misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mayerhoffer misses with a hook to the body
and Roberts counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Roberts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mayerhoffer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mayerhoffer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Roberts can't escape the position.
Mayerhoffer stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

and Roberts counters with a single leg into guard. Mayerhoffer didn't expect that.

Roberts pushes down on Mayerhoffer's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Roberts wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mayerhoffer keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roberts is looking for a kimura but Mayerhoffer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roberts to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Mayerhoffer dominated that round.
That's time! Roberts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mayerhoffer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Roberts momentarily.
Mayerhoffer misses the body punch
and Roberts counters with a single leg into guard. Mayerhoffer didn't expect that.
Roberts drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Roberts as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mayerhoffer screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Roberts! Nice submission victory there!
