Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lars Katt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lars Katt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jorge Santos! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Katt swats him away and circles back towards the center. Katt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Katt wants it to stay on the feet. Santos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Katt swivels and escapes. Katt moves in looking to clinch but Santos pushes him off. Santos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Katt's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Santos is looking to stall here but Katt recovers full guard. Santos won't allow Katt to get back to his feet. Katt keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Santos. Santos stops Katt from standing up. Santos showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Katt is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Katt looking to throw knees to the head but Santos is blocking nicely.

Santos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Katt is trying to defend but Santos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Katt is staying active underneath Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Katt defends it well. Katt is trying to stand back up but Santos is controlling him
Santos decides to stand up. Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Santos trying to control from half guard but Katt is working away. Katt is breathing heavily. Santos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos controlling from the full mount. Santos with good strikes from the mount here! Santos sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jorge Santos just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Katt circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorge Santos dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Katt clinches. Katt lands an elbow inside that Santos shrugs off. Katt with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Jorge Santos has been cut. Santos tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Katt trying to control the position but instead, Santos has worked for underhooks and has pushed Katt into the cage. Santos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Katt just stands there and leans against the cage. Santos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Katt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Lars Katt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Santos. Katt tries a knee to the head but Santos blocks it.
Santos is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Santos has had enough of the clinch but Katt keeps him there for the moment. Santos doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Santos goes for a takedown attempt but Katt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Katt with a lazy takedown attempt and Santos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Katt's guard. Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Katt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos wants to pass the guard but Katt is keeping the position. Katt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Santos gets to his feet - Katt follows without any prompting. Santos attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Santos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Katt being controlled for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katt defending against the ground and pound. Santos stands up. Santos looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Katt has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Santos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Katt keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Santos with a flurry of punches that miss. Santos gets to his feet - Katt follows without any prompting. Santos gets a takedown into half guard. Santos is looking for a kimura here.

Santos is pressing down on Katt's thigh, looking to free his foot. Katt is holding on for now. Santos controlling the action here. Katt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Santos. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorge Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jorge Santos's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Santos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Katt is not content to let Santos control the position. Santos tries to pass to full mount but Katt defends it. Santos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santos trying to control the action but Katt is working from the bottom.

Santos throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Katt because Santos loaded up on that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Santos looking for a guillotine from mount but Katt is having none of it. Santos looking to finish with strikes here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Santos has control of Katt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Katt regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Santos controlling from the full mount. Lars Katt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Katt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
