Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Coronel Avas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and janpeter kurkela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying kurkela's choice of entrance music: Korpiklaani:Wood pint. janpeter kurkela has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kurkela throws a right and a left that both miss.
kurkela closes the distance and pushes Avas back into the cage.
Avas prevents kurkela from breaking the clinch.
Avas tries to pull guard but kurkela holds him up against the cage and eventually Avas drops back down to his feet.
kurkela pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
kurkela fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Avas sprawls well initially but kurkela persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
kurkela looks to land a strike but Avas avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

kurkela wants to take a breather but Avas is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Avas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
janpeter kurkela is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
kurkela seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

janpeter kurkela comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well kurkela has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
