The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kegslam changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kegslam tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kegslam throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kegslam tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kegslam is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!
Kegslam is trying to stick to Gracie's back but Gracie is turning into Kegslam. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kegslam's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gracie.
Kegslam has Gracie pulled in close to control his posture.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kegslam manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Kegslam in his guard.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kegslam is aware though and is defending well.

Kegslam lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.

Kegslam lands a big uppercut and Gracie crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gracie looks OK. Kegslam waves Gracie back to his feet!
