Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Macapinlac Co!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Wallace!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace wants to slow Co down by chopping away at his legs.
Co misses with the combination.
Co wants to clinch up but Wallace keeps it at a distance.
Wallace throws a combination that misses

and Co counters with a single leg into guard. Wallace didn't expect that.
Co advances position into side control!
Wallace struggling a bit here.
Co throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Co trying to control the position but Wallace is working away.

Co working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Co looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wallace wants to get back to his feet but Co drags him back down.

Wallace struggling a bit here.
Wallace parries the strikes from Co easily there. Co is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wallace to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wallace can do anything to dispel that myth.
Co works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Co scoring with punches and elbows.
Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Co. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Co is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wallace knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wallace is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Wallace tries to improve position but can't.

Co thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Wallace is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Co is controlling him well.
Co sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wallace is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Co tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Co has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wallace is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Co frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wallace looks gassed!

Co looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Wallace working to try and regain half guard.

Co is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Wallace's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Co controlling his opponent.
Co has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Co scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wallace?
Co controlling the pace for now.
Co lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Co looking to control but Wallace is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace taking shots to the head.

Wallace is in a horrible position here. Co smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Co looking to secure an arm triangle but Wallace defends it well.
Wallace tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wallace defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Co.

Co working for a submission but Wallace is keeping him at bay.
Wallace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Co jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wallace manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wallace is pushing Co's head away, looking to escape. Co manages to hold on to the position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Macapinlac Co dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Wallace rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Co moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Co wants to clinch up but Wallace keeps it at a distance.
Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wallace chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Co tries to clinch there but Wallace circles away.
Co keeps the fight on the outside.
Co misses with a body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Co looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Co darts in and clinches Wallace up against the cage.
Co tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Co blocking some punches.
Co comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Mark Wallace has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Co.
Wallace tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Co lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wallace backwards.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Co changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wallace fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Co tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wallace swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Good leg kick by Wallace there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wallace circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wallace counters with a left and a right that stings Co.
Wallace misses the jab.
Wallace misses with a double jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Co fails in his attempt to clinch.

Co rushes Wallace and presses him up against the cage.
A short uppercut from Co.
Co lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Co gets through Wallace's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Wallace swings wildly with an uppercut but Co uses good head movement to avoid it.

Co lands a big knee to the head and Wallace goes down! Co is looking to finish!


Wallace is rocked!
Co lands a strong strike to the head of Wallace. That's dazed him! Co looking to finish here. Wallace is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Co lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Macapinlac Co!
Macapinlac Co is the new middleweight champion!
