Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerson Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuto Punto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerson Ruas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tuto Punto! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Ruas. Ruas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Punto, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruas trying to control the position but Punto is working away. Ruas tries to move to mount but Punto blocks the move with his legs. Ruas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Punto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ruas slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Punto stops Ruas from passing to mount. You can see the frustration on Punto's face as Ruas controls the position. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ruas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Punto has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ruas but great work by Punto. Punto tries to stand but Ruas is controlling his head. Ruas struggling a bit here. Punto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Punto tries to stand but Ruas is controlling his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ruas tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Punto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ruas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Punto is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Punto is looking to clinch. Ruas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Punto was covering up waiting for the punch and Ruas finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ruas passes into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jerson Ruas dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Punto throws a head kick that misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ruas is defended easily by Punto. Ruas shoots in for a double leg but Punto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Punto defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ruas. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerson Ruas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Punto throws a sloppy head kick and Ruas moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Punto is trying to defend but Ruas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Punto is trying to stand up here but Ruas is controlling him well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ruas stops Punto from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Punto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Punto doesn't manage to clinch there - Ruas circles away.
Ruas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Punto as he jumps to the side. Punto throws a head kick that misses. Punto tries to clinch there but Ruas circles away.
Ruas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Punto did well to prevent Ruas getting side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas is looking to take a break and control but Punto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ruas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Punto is defending against the submission attempts here by Ruas.
Ruas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Punto is just riding it out for now. Ruas eventually gives up the hold.

Jerson Ruas dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Punto is keeping the position for now. Ruas trying to control the position from guard on top but Punto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ruas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Punto swivels though and keeps the full guard. Punto keeping moving, preventing Ruas from controlling successfully.

The fighters roll with the hold and Punto manages to kick Ruas off! Ruas jumps back into Punto's guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ruas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Tuto Punto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruas has an Americana. Punto didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ruas is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ruas hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
