Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Even Steven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Trades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica-Enter Sandman. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Even Steven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Trades! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trades swats away the attempt to clinch by Steven. An inside leg kick lands from Trades. Steven tries to clinch up but Trades circles away and keeps his distance. Steven tries to close the distance and clinch up but Trades swats him away and circles back towards the center. Steven throws a right and a left that both miss. Even Steven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steven wants to clinch. Trades tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Steven throws a head kick but Trades moves out of range.
Trades throws a head kick that misses. Steven is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Steven closes the distance and clinches up with Trades, looking for a takedown. Steven pushes Trades against the cage but Trades circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trades misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steven.
Steven uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Trades.
Steven fails with a takedown attempt. Steven shoots in for a double leg but Trades sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Even Steven. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trades throws a looping overhand right but Steven ducks down to avoid it. Trades throws a sloppy head kick and Steven counters with a straight right hand. Steven tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Trades lands with a slapping head kick. Trades keeps the fight on the outside. Steven tries to clinch up. Trades lands a head kick. Steven smiles back at him and beckons him forward. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steven is defended easily by Trades. Trades misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A cross from Trades lands. Steven tries to clinch up but Trades circles away and keeps his distance. Steven wants to clinch. Trades thows a body shot but no joy. Jack Trades is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trades goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steven lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
An inside leg kick lands from Trades. Trades lands a nice hook to Steven's body. Steven takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Steven is breathing heavily. Trades scores with a body shot.
Trades misses with a head kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Trades! Steven is out on his feet! Trades rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Steven is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Steven is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
