Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Slutskaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Gabel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Slutskaya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Gabel!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gabel in particular looking to stall.
Gabel winds up and cracks Slutskaya with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Slutskaya is trying to get back to full guard.
Gabel tries to pass the half guard into mount. Slutskaya knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gabel content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Slutskaya gets full guard.
Slutskaya escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gabel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gabel sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slutskaya throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gabel escapes and throws Slutskaya's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Slutskaya is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gabel landing a few strikes.
Gabel is looking to take a break and control but Slutskaya is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Slutskaya tries to improve position but can't.
Gabel controls the position.
Slutskaya is not content to let Gabel control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gabel shoots in but Slutskaya avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Gabel holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Slutskaya wants a takedown.
Gabel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gabel doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Slutskaya counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Slutskaya is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gabel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gabel has escaped and now he's on top!
Slutskaya is breathing heavily.
Slutskaya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gabel is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slutskaya is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gabel rolls with it to try and escape but Slutskaya cranks on the arm and Gabel is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
