Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seb Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Seb Mercury!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercury shoots in but no luck this time.
Henry tries to clinch but Mercury is having none of it.
Mercury shoots in looking for a takedown. Henry tries to sprawl out of it but Mercury keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Henry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Henry tries to clinch but Mercury is having none of it.
Mercury has a takedown stuffed.
Mark Henry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seb Mercury.
Mercury avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Henry wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Henry wants to clinch up but Mercury keeps it at a distance.
Mercury uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Henry.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mercury drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mercury tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Mercury controls the position.
Mercury has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry is trying to get back to half guard.
Henry throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Mercury sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Henry is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mercury working away.
Henry tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Henry tries to close the distance and clinch but Mercury swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Henry tries to clinch but Mercury moves out of range.
Henry fails in his attempt to clinch.

Henry drops Mercury with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mercury looks back up at him and smiles so Henry waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Mercury keeps the fight on the outside.
Henry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mercury paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mercury shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henry as he avoids it easily.
Mercury looks gassed!
Henry tries to clinch up.

Henry gets caught flat footed, as Mercury shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mercury postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mercury working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Mercury drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mercury jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Henry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mercury trying to control the position from guard on top but Henry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Henry looking for a sweep. Not yet Henry, not yet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Henry misses with a hook. Mercury ducked under it nicely.
Henry is looking to clinch.
Henry tries to close the distance and clinch but Mercury swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Henry circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mercury to the canvas! Mercury doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Henry keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Henry!
