Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liam Dublin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Major!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Major.
Major shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dublin as he avoids it easily.

Dublin scores a takedown into full mount!
Major is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dublin landing strikes from the mount.

Dublin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Major is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dublin controlling his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Major is looking to improve his position but Dublin isn't that keen on the idea.

BOOM! Dublin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dublin lands a nice shot to the head.
Dublin prevents Major from getting the reversal.

Dublin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Major to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Major shrugs it off.

Dublin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Major is looking to improve his position but Dublin isn't that keen on the idea.

Major tries to control Dublin's body but Dublin pushes him off. Major squirms to his side and now Dublin has his back!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Major turns into Dublin and is now in his guard.
Dublin is breathing heavily.
Major has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dublin is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dublin keeping moving, preventing Major from controlling successfully.
Major stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dublin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dublin has an active guard here but Major has managed to pass into half guard.

Major works his way into full mount!
Major postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dublin looks a forlorn figure.

Major working for a guillotine from mount but Dublin is in no mood to give up.
Dublin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dublin in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Major connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Major lands with some strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Major cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Major tries to control but Dublin wriggling away.
Major might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dublin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Major will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dublin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Major scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dublin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dublin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dublin stops Major from getting back to his feet.
Dublin throwing shots but Major is blocking nicely.
Dublin prevents Major from standing back up.
Dublin is thwarting Major's attempts to control the position.
Dublin prevents Major from improving his position.
Major makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Major.

Dublin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Major looking to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Major fails with the takedown

and Dublin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Major is defending against the submission attempts here by Dublin.
Major is trying to stand up here but Dublin is controlling him well.

Dublin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Major has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Major manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Major is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Major looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Major thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Liam Dublin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dublin wants to control from the top but Major keeps moving.
Major trying to keep a closed guard but Dublin is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Major goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Major tries a head kick but it misses.
Major has a takedown stuffed.

Dublin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Major did well to prevent Dublin getting side control.

Dublin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Major is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Liam Dublin!
