Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez's entrance music is mo murda . A fine choice. The key to victory for Jose Lopez has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with James but James pushes him off and we're back to square one.

James leaves Lopez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lopez shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lopez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Lopez persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lopez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

James works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
James is putting a hurting on Lopez here, landing some big shots from side control.
James grinds an elbow into Lopez's temple.
Lopez is not content to let James control the position.

James postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lopez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
James is looking to regain half guard here but Lopez keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on James's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lopez looks up at the clock and then as James takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lopez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Lopez is trying to ground and pound but James uses the momentary lack of control by Lopez to regain half guard.
James makes his way to full guard. A much better position for James.

James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lopez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lopez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, James has tightened it up now! Lopez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
