Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tokyo Takedowns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hero Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokyo Takedowns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hero Kawasaki!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takedowns closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kawasaki to the mat! Kawasaki manages to get full guard.
Takedowns tries to free his leg and advance position but Kawasaki is retaining full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Takedowns tries to stand but Kawasaki is controlling from the bottom.
Takedowns will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kawasaki looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Takedowns passes into side control.
Kawasaki wants to control but Takedowns postures up.

Takedowns stands up and beckons Kawasaki to his feet.

and Takedowns counters with a single leg into guard. Kawasaki didn't expect that.

and Takedowns counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kawasaki won't be happy with that.

Kawasaki prevents Takedowns from improving position.

Takedowns decides to stand back up. Takedowns steps back and let's Kawasaki get back to his feet.

and Takedowns counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Tokyo Takedowns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hero Kawasaki.

Kawasaki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kawasaki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Takedowns gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Takedowns gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Takedowns shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Takedowns passes the guard and advances to mount!
Kawasaki tries to hold on but Takedowns pushes him away.
Kawasaki is squirming around, avoiding Takedowns's attempts to control the action.
Kawasaki tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Takedowns wants to control the pace but Kawasaki is squirming around nicely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Takedowns trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kawasaki is trying desperately to improve position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Takedowns tries to control but Kawasaki wriggling away.
Takedowns is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kawasaki is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tokyo Takedowns just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Kawasaki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kawasaki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Takedowns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Takedowns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takedowns tries to move to mount but Kawasaki blocks the move with his legs.

Takedowns scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Takedowns moves into full mount! Kawasaki won't be happy about that!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kawasaki wants to try and get back to his feet.
Takedowns wants to control the pace but Kawasaki is squirming around nicely.

Takedowns's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kawasaki is wriggling around trying to escape.
Takedowns trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Kawasaki is squirming around, avoiding Takedowns's attempts to control the action.

Kawasaki doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Takedowns counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Takedowns.

Kawasaki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takedowns can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Takedowns postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kawasaki to stand up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kawasaki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Takedowns manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kawasaki has Takedowns in his guard.

Takedowns decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kawasaki, up you get!
Takedowns throws a wild body kick that Kawasaki sees coming a mile off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tokyo Takedowns dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Kawasaki wanted to stand there but Takedowns had control of the position.

Kawasaki has gone for a leg lock! Takedowns slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kawasaki's guard.

Takedowns passes Kawasaki's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Takedowns decides to stand and escape the position.

Takedowns shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kawasaki's guard.
Takedowns connects with a couple of short punches.

Kawasaki is working an open guard so Takedowns takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Tokyo Takedowns overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kawasaki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Takedowns looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kawasaki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kawasaki is trying to get back to full guard.
Takedowns is keen to just control but Kawasaki is a slippery customer.

Takedowns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kawasaki swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Takedowns avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kawasaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Takedowns doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Takedowns manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hero Kawasaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Takedowns has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
