Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sky earth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman comes to the cage accompanied by Sympathy for the Devil. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from earth.
Redman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in earth's guard.
Redman wants to pass the guard but earth is keeping the position.
Redman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Redman passes earth's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Redman trying to pass the guard but earth defending well.
earth is refusing to be controlled, as Redman sits in half guard.
Redman is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for earth!

Redman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but earth is surviving well by controlling Redman's body position as best he can.
Redman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

earth is trying to escape the mount but Redman keeps good control and instead manages to take earth's back.
earth manages to reverse the position and now he's in Redman's guard. Nice work there by earth.
earth thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Redman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and earth defends well.

Redman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in earth's guard.

earth should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Redman got a little sloppy there for a moment and earth has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Redman has managed to get both his arms back between earth's legs - danger averted.
earth looks gassed!

Redman is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Redman gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Redman gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Redman apologises and we restart here on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Redman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Redman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

earth sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Johnny Redman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
earth is breathing heavily.

earth is staying active underneath Redman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Redman tries to pass the half guard into mount. earth knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Redman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for earth!
Redman wants to take earth's back here but earth is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Redman is working for a guillotine from mount but earth frees his head quite easily.
Redman has hold of earth's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and earth manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
earth has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
earth is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

earth is trying to break free.
Redman has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, earth has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. earth defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
earth tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Redman mounts earth! Really nice guard pass there!
Redman is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. earth is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. earth flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Redman anticipates the leg and manages to get behind earth and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Redman slips an arm under earth chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Redman has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Redman is squeezing on earth like an anaconda would it's prey. earth fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
