Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wayne Osborne! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Osborne dodges the punch combination from Wood.
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Osborne paws at him with a jab and circles away. No joy there for Wood, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Osborne clinches. Wood drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wood avoids a wild elbow strike from Osborne. Osborne working Wood over with knees to the body. Osborne lands a damaging elbow. Osborne manages to break the clinch.
Wood shoots in for a takedown but Osborne shows good takedown defense. Wood is breathing heavily. Osborne moves into range and clinches up with Wood. Wood takes an elbow to the forehead. Wood drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Osborne bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wood tries to improve position but can't. Wood is trying to work for a sweep but Osborne has mounted him! Osborne scoring with strikes but Wood is staying in there. Osborne cracks Wood with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wood is squirming around, avoiding Osborne's attempts to control the action. Wood is looking to improve his position but Osborne isn't that keen on the idea. Osborne looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Osborne pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Osborne working the ground and pound effectively.
Osborne trying to control but he's not successful this time. Wood is desperately trying to improve his position but Osborne has a good base and remains in mount. Osborne scoring with strikes but Wood is staying in there. Osborne controlling from mount. Osborne wants to control the pace but Wood is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Osborne takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Osborne trying to control but Wood is having none of it. Osborne looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Osborne can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wood is looking to escape. Osborne has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wood's face.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Osborne misses with a head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Osborne looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Osborne pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Osborne dives in and grabs Wood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wood pushes down on Osborne's head and hops out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Osborne misses with a wild combination.

He's obviously looking to slow Wood down. Ron Wood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Osborne tries to clinch up. letting Osborne counter with a right hand. Wood tries to clinch up and Osborne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wood swats away the attempt to clinch by Osborne. Wood misses with a double jab.
Osborne dives in and grabs Wood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wood pushes down on Osborne's head and hops out. Osborne bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wood's head backwards. Osborne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wood as he avoids it easily. Wood clinches. Wood prevents the takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Osborne content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Osborne is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wood sees it coming and defends easily. Wood slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Osborne prevents Wood from getting back to his feet. Osborne is stalling in the full guard. Osborne trying to control but Wood is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Osborne is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Osborne manages to get himself to full guard.
Osborne is working an open guard so Wood takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Osborne lands with a thumping leg kick.
