Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sugar Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zek Weknok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bear has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The key to victory for Sugar Bear has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sugar Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zek Weknok! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weknok is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bear misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bear is breathing heavily. Bear doesn't manage to clinch there - Weknok circles away.
Sugar Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Weknok clinches up against the cage. Weknok tries to score a body lock takedown but Bear shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Bear keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Weknok's efforts to push away. Weknok trying to stall but Bear improves his position.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Weknok. Weknok circles away from the clinch attempt and Weknok counters with a left to the body. Bear throws a right and a left that Weknok avoids nicely. Horrible takedown by Weknok or perhaps it was just good defense by Bear which made him look bad. Sugar Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zek Weknok. Weknok throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Weknok dives in and grabs Bear's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bear pushes down on Weknok's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weknok tries to clinch up. Weknok lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Bear misses with a double jab
and Weknok counters with a big head kick but Bear shrugs it off. Weknok connects with a crisp jab. Bear takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Weknok gets in close and instigates a clinch. Weknok breaks the clinch.
Weknok throws a sloppy head kick and Bear moves out of range easily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Weknok!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Weknok tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Weknok throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Weknok tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bear swivels and escapes. Bear leaves Weknok with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Weknok pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weknok throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bear swats away the attempt to clinch by Weknok. Weknok lands a head kick. Bear smiles back at him and beckons him forward. A combination from Weknok does no damage. Weknok misses with a few strikes there.
Weknok shoots in but Bear avoids the takedown attempt easily. Weknok lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bear circles away quickly and effectively. Weknok scores with a spinning back kick! Weknok scores with a kick to the midsection. Bear falls off balance throwing a combination
and Weknok counters with a three punch combo that has Bear backing up. Bear nods at Weknok to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Weknok. Sugar Bear is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Weknok thows a body shot but no joy. Weknok drives through and clinches with Bear against the cage.
Bear could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Weknok is trying to break the clinch but Bear has him pressed against the cage. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bear falls off balance throwing a combination
and Weknok counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bear! Weknok looking to control and managing it successfully. I looks like Weknok might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weknok working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Bear looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Weknok! Submission of the night perhaps?
