Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randall Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Dunc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Dunc is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randall Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Dunc! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a series of punches but Dunc avoids them all with ease. Johnson throws a hook to the side of Dunc's head but Dunc sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Johnson shoots in and drives through. Dunc sprawls well. Johnson stuffs the takedown. Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Dunc looking for a guillotine here but Johnson defends easily.
Dunc escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dunc is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Dunc is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dunc looks gassed! Johnson trying to control but Dunc is working from the bottom. Dunc tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dunc has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dunc, up you get! Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there. Johnson uses his free foot to push down on Dunc's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dunc. Johnson tries to control but Dunc wriggling away. Johnson working for a submission but Dunc is keeping him at bay. Dunc gets back to half guard.

Johnson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Johnson wants to take a breather but Dunc is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Johnson lands a nice short elbow. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dunc keeps working. Johnson uses his free foot to push down on Dunc's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dunc. Johnson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Dunc pushes him off. Johnson with a poor takedown and Dunc counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dunc wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Dunc postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it. Johnson scores with a short punch from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randall Johnson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Dunc in a clinch.
Johnson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dunc uses from the top position. Dunc thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dunc wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dunc manages to pass to side control. Johnson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dunc avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Dunc blocks a leg kick. Dunc gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Johnson passes Dunc's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dunc, who protects the arm well. Dunc tries to improve position but can't. Johnson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dunc some visible discomfort.
Johnson stands up. Johnson misses the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a head kick but Dunc moves out of range.
Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dunc wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is dominant here and he's now got Dunc's back! Johnson is looking to control Dunc but Dunc is wriggling around and keeping busy. Randall Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dunc won't enjoy being in this position. Johnson looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Dunc is tapping - it's over boys! Johnson picks up the submission victory!
