Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raul Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El BiJay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El BiJay!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BiJay avoids the head kick by Cabrera.
Raul Cabrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cabrera fails with a takedown attempt.
Cabrera throws a head kick that BiJay semi-blocks.
Cabrera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cabrera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cabrera misses with an uppercut. BiJay saw that one coming.

BiJay drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

BiJay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cabrera regains half guard, as BiJay was trying to land strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cabrera utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

BiJay lands a couple of elbows.

BiJay throws and elbow that misses. Cabrera uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in BiJay's guard. Nice move by Cabrera!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cabrera wanted to stand there but BiJay had control of the position.
BiJay looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cabrera is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Cabrera would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
BiJay lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cabrera!

BiJay is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cabrera has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cabrera!

Cabrera has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of BiJay is proving hard to escape from.
BiJay has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cabrera got a little sloppy there for a moment and BiJay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cabrera has managed to get both his arms back between BiJay's legs - danger averted.

Cabrera wants to get up but he can't break BiJay's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
BiJay is striking from the bottom but Cabrera uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but El BiJay will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

BiJay shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cabrera is trying to defend but BiJay finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

El BiJay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cabrera goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

BiJay uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cabrera.

Cabrera lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

BiJay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cabrera is just riding it out for now. BiJay eventually gives up the hold.

Cabrera is looking to escape.
Cabrera regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from BiJay.

Raul Cabrera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

BiJay prevents Cabrera from getting back to his feet.
BiJay postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Cabrera wants to improve his position but BiJay is controlling well.
Cabrera is trying to defend against the ground and pound but BiJay scores with a couple of nice shots.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Raul Cabrera.
I think BiJay has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
