Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nando Ferraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Benton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nando Ferraz! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benton slips under a jab. Ferraz looks to land a combination but Benton avoids it well. Ferraz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Benton looks to land a combination but Ferraz avoids it well. Benton swings for the body but Ferraz moves out of range.
Benton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Benton. Ferraz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ferraz looks to score with a jab to the body but Benton is just out of range. A combination from Ferraz does no damage. Benton scores a takedown into full mount! Ferraz is looking to get to half guard. Ferraz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ferraz is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benton looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benton scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ferraz manages to get to full guard.
Ferraz has his foot on Benton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Benton works his way back into a safe position though. Benton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ferraz wriggles free and stands up. Benton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ferraz sprawls well initially but Benton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ferraz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Benton prevents Ferraz from improving his position. Ferraz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferraz has hold of Benton's hands but Benton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ferraz is looking for a sweep. Benton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Benton wants to take a breather but Ferraz is having none of it. Benton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Benton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ferraz has a hand on Benton's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Benton takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferraz is desperately trying to improve his position but Benton has a good base and remains in mount. Ferraz looks gassed! Ferraz in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Ferraz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Benton dominating with strikes here. Benton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ferraz hang on? Benton prevents Ferraz from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Benton connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Benton dominating with strikes here. Ferraz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ferraz is squirming around, avoiding Benton's attempts to control the action. Benton raining down shots from the mount! Ferraz is trying to escape the mount.
Benton postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ferraz looks a forlorn figure.
Ferraz is in a horrible position here. Benton smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ferraz is looking to improve his position but Benton isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Benton. Benton landing punches.
Ferraz is rocked! Benton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ferraz hang on? Ferraz is still in real trouble! Can Benton finish him? Benton loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ferraz scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Benton land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Benton stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Benton!
