Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Martyn Paul Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Regal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arnold Regal struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Regal misses with a wild combination.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Regal throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Regal pushes Casey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Casey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Casey lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Regal down.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Regal cracks Casey with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Casey lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Regal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Casey is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Regal tries to close the distance and clinch but Casey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Arnold Regal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Casey with that takedown attempt. Casey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Martyn Paul Casey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Casey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
