Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Magnecium Devecium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jared Bass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Magnecium Devecium! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jared Bass! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Devecium shoots in looking for a takedown. Bass tries to sprawl out of it but Devecium keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bass manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Devecium is looking to clinch but Bass is avoiding it.
Devecium looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bass! Devecium sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Bass keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bass wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Devecium.
Bass should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bass is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Devecium really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bass slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Bass taking some punishment here, with Devecium in his half guard. Bass is staying active underneath Devecium, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Devecium thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bass to regain full guard. Devecium would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Devecium tries to free his leg and advance position but Bass is retaining full guard. Devecium trying to control but Bass is working from the bottom. Bass is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devecium trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Devecium fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bass avoids it really well and circles away. Devecium shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bass is trying to defend but Devecium finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Devecium is breathing heavily. Bass is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Devecium's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Devecium's back! Devecium is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bass gets his way!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Devecium won't enjoy being in this position. Bass looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Devecium is tapping - it's over boys! Bass picks up the submission victory!
