Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Quixote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Kambei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kambei comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tori Amos - Crucify kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Don Quixote could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Akira Kambei's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Don Quixote! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Kambei! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quixote dives in and grabs Kambei's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kambei pushes down on Quixote's head and hops out. Quixote tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kambei swivels and escapes. Kambei tries to score a power double leg takedown but Quixote sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kambei somewhat. Kambei uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Quixote. Quixote misses with a head kick.
Quixote tries to clinch up but Kambei circles away and keeps his distance. Kambei circles away from the clinch attempt.
Quixote tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Kambei paws at him with a jab and circles away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kambei. Quixote regains half guard. Kambei slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. I looks like Kambei might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Kambei tries to stand but can't do so whilst Quixote controls his leg. Quixote tries to roll over but Kambei keeps him under control. Kambei is looking to stall here but Quixote recovers full guard. Kambei is looking to advance position but Quixote has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kambei is working to get back to half guard.
Quixote will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Quixote goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kambei turns into him and now he's in Quixote's guard.
Kambei trying to control the position from guard on top but Quixote is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quixote has a closed guard, preventing Kambei from standing up. Kambei trying to control but Quixote is working from the bottom. Quixote is trying to control the position but Kambei postures up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kambei prevents Quixote from getting back to his feet. Kambei wants to control from the top but Quixote keeps moving. Kambei looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Quixote misses with a body kick. Quixote has his takedown stuffed and Kambei counters with a single leg into guard. Quixote didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Quixote. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kambei is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Quixote has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kambei off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Quixote tries to clinch up and Kambei counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Quixote's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Kambei dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kambei tries to free his leg and advance position but Quixote is retaining full guard. Quixote can't keep his opponent in guard - Kambei advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kambei passes to full mount! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kambei tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kambei can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Quixote is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Quixote is looking to improve his position but Kambei isn't that keen on the idea. Kambei content just to control the position here. Kambei looking to control but Quixote is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quixote regains half guard. Quixote is trying to get back to full guard. Quixote keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Kambei is keen to just control but Quixote is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kambei takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Quixote is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kambei's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kambei's back! Kambei has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Quixote is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Quixote wants to control but Kambei is keeping busy. Kambei rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kambei looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kambei is trying to stand up here but Quixote is controlling him well. Quixote is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Kambei showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Quixote with a poor takedown and Kambei counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Quixote's guard now. Kambei forces his way into half guard. Kambei sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kambei's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quixote slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kambei looking to sit in guard and control but Quixote gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kambei wants to stand and escape but Quixote is having none of it.

Kambei is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kambei manages to kick Quixote off! Quixote jumps back into Kambei's guard. Quixote pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kambei is keeping the position for now. Quixote passes Kambei's left leg - he's now in half guard. Quixote is looking to take a break and control but Kambei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kambei manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Quixote drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Quixote as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kambei screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Quixote! Nice submission victory there!
