Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Camilo Bolinhas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bolinhas has chosen Guns n' Roses - Mr. Brownstone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cru Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Camilo Bolinhas! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bolinhas fails in his attempt to clinch. Bolinhas is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Bolinhas moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bolinhas works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones wants to pass the guard but Bolinhas is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones is in close to Bolinhas's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bolinhas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bolinhas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bolinhas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones connects with a couple of short punches. Bolinhas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bolinhas tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Bolinhas is looking to clinch. Bolinhas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bolinhas tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Bolinhas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bolinhas is looking to clinch. Bolinhas wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Camilo Bolinhas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Bolinhas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bolinhas sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jones works his way into side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones working the head with strikes. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Jones seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Jones tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bolinhas's legs. Jones scores with punches from side control. Bolinhas stops Jones from passing to mount. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bolinhas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bolinhas is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jones is controlling him well. Jones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bolinhas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jones but great work by Bolinhas. Jones tries to bench press Bolinhas off him but Bolinhas keeps the position. Bolinhas wants to stand but Jones is controlling his arm. Jones throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Bolinhas keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Bolinhas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bolinhas, pushing him back against the cage. Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones has picked Bolinhas up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Jones drops an elbow to the side of Bolinhas's head. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bolinhas's head. Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Bolinhas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bolinhas is looking to escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bolinhas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bolinhas. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bolinhas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Bolinhas sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cru Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bolinhas looking to slow down the pace here. Jones is trying to trip Bolinhas. He has hold of a leg but Bolinhas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Bolinhas wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bolinhas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Bolinhas in his guard. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bolinhas has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bolinhas clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones counters by clinching up. Jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jones manages to end up in side control. The strikes coming from Jones are missing the target in this wave of attacks. An elbow from Jones crashes against the mat.
Bolinhas takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bolinhas tries to escape but Jones is in control. Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Bolinhas controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Bolinhas's head but Bolinhas avoids it well. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Bolinhas controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bolinhas, who protects the arm well. Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bolinhas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Bolinhas! Jones is looking for a triangle but Bolinhas pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bolinhas is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bolinhas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bolinhas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Camilo Bolinhas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bolinhas tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Bolinhas which made him look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bolinhas closes the distance looking to clinch so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Bolinhas is retaining full guard. Bolinhas wants to sweep but no luck. Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bolinhas's head. Bolinhas thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Bolinhas working a defensive guard here.
Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jones is working for a kimura but Bolinhas is defending it quite comfortably.
Cru Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bolinhas is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.

And that's the end of the fight! Cru Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
