Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Fu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fu manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Fu is retaining full guard.
Fu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.

Fu looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.

Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones wants to stand but Fu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Fu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fu wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones advances position into side control!
Fu is trying to improve his position.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fu is looking for a sweep.

Jones stands up and beckons Fu to his feet.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Fu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Fu.
Jones looks gassed!
Fu wants to get back to full guard.
Fu keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can.
Fu is looking to improve his position.
Jones slows the pace down in half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jones is pressing down on Fu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fu is holding on for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fu throws a low kick, looking for Jones's leg but Jones calmly moves out of range.

and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fu's guard now.
Jones postures up in Fu's guard and throws a big left but Fu blocks it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fu lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Jones rushes Fu and presses him up against the cage.
Fu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Fu has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fu working hard to break the clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Fu is just out of range.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fu sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Fu is defending well.
Jones is taking a breather. Fu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jones moves nicely into side control.
Fu manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Jones is breathing heavily.

Jones has a hand on Fu's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Fu takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Fu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jones is surviving well by controlling Fu's body position as best he can.
Jones has given up his back.
Jones prevents Fu from getting a body triangle.
I really don't envy Jones right now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fu doesn't have the hooks in and Jones manages to turn into his guard.
Fu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
Fu trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

Jones wants to control the position but Fu says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Fu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Fu uses his free foot to push down on Jones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jones.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Fu's attempts to control the action.

Fu looking to secure an arm triangle but Jones defends it well.
Fu tries to control but Jones wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fu wants to control but instead Jones manages to regain half guard.
Fu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Fu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Fu prevents Jones from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luke Fu will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jones tries to control but Fu wriggling away.

Jones goes for an armbar but Fu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fu.

Fu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fu drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Fu seems to have locked his on tight now - Jones screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Fu, as he picks up the win!
