Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darwin Beethoven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darwin Beethoven ! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell misses with a two punch combination.
Beethoven moves into the clinch successfully.
Liddell wants to break free but Beethoven has control.
Beethoven pulls guard effortlessly. Liddell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Liddell preventing the sweep. Liddell wants to stand and escape but instead Beethoven has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beethoven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beethoven thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beethoven advances position into side control! Beethoven moves into full mount! Liddell holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Beethoven tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Beethoven wants to control the pace but Liddell is squirming around nicely. Liddell holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Beethoven tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Beethoven is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Liddell is surviving well by controlling Beethoven 's body position as best he can. Beethoven throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Beethoven trying to control but Liddell is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Beethoven working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Beethoven looks gassed! Beethoven trying to control but Liddell is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Liddell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Beethoven . And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darwin Beethoven dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Liddell cracks Beethoven with an open hand slap. Beethoven is looking to clinch. Liddell moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Liddell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Liddell leaves Beethoven with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beethoven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side. Liddell scores with a jab. Beethoven acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

That's going to take a lot out of Darwin Beethoven . Beethoven has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Liddell finds it's way round the side to connect with Beethoven 's head. Liddell uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Beethoven will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Liddell scores with a punch to the head. Beethoven takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Beethoven looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Liddell is fending him off so far but Beethoven persists. Nope, Liddell circles away and we're back to standing. Beethoven pushes Liddell up against the cage in a clinch.

Liddell wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beethoven has him pressed against the cage. Liddell has had enough of the clinch but Beethoven keeps him there for the moment. Liddell is trying to force a seperation but Beethoven has the dominant position. Liddell is pressed up against the cage. Beethoven has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Liddell down to the mat. Liddell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Beethoven doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Chuck Liddell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Liddell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Liddell lands with a nice combination. Beethoven backs away looking to recover. Beethoven on the wrong end of a nice hook. Beethoven throws a hook but Liddell avoids it easily. Beethoven shoots in but no luck this time.

Liddell ducks down and throws a hook to the body. No luck with that takedown attempt from Beethoven . Liddell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Beethoven has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Beethoven walks into a jab. That's four minutes gone in the round. Beethoven fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Beethoven shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liddell as he avoids it easily. Beethoven is breathing heavily. Liddell cracks Beethoven with a good jab. Beethoven takes a body punch but keeps moving. Beethoven fails with a takedown attempt. Beethoven takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Beethoven on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Beethoven gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Liddell. Nice cross by Liddell. Liddell is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beethoven is defended easily by Liddell. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Liddell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Beethoven takes a body punch but keeps moving. Liddell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Beethoven 's head. Danga de danga de dang - Liddell scores with a four punch combination! A jab lands there for Liddell. Liddell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Liddell catches Beethoven with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Beethoven swings away with a body shot that misses
and Liddell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Beethoven takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Beethoven fails with the takedown and Beethoven takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Beethoven has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Beethoven takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beethoven looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Left hook, right uppercut from Liddell. Beethoven misses with a takedown and Liddell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Liddell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Liddell scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Beethoven with a poor takedown letting Liddell counter with a right hand. Beethoven tries to close the distance and clinch but Liddell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Beethoven gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beethoven takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Beethoven takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Beethoven has his takedown stuffed and Liddell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Beethoven on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Liddell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Beethoven at a distance.
Liddell lands with a nice combination. Beethoven backs away looking to recover. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beethoven has his takedown stuffed and Liddell counters with a three punch combo that has Beethoven backing up. Beethoven nods at Liddell to acknowledge the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Liddell showed his dominance in that final round. I think Liddell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
