Shinault has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Anthony Shinault has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Shinault !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lukasz Mroz!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mroz moves into the clinch.

Shinault breaks the clinch.
Shinault closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mroz circles away.

Shinault clinches with his opponent.

Mroz has picked Shinault up - he's going for a ride! Mroz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Mroz is nestled in close to Shinault , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shinault keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mroz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mroz with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Shinault taking some punishment here, with Mroz in his half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mroz in particular looking to stall.

Mroz looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Shinault wants to get back to full guard.

Mroz wants to work for an arm triangle but Shinault is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shinault is breathing heavily.

Mroz wants to free his trapped foot but Shinault is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shinault is looking to get back to is feet but Mroz passes into side control.
Shinault tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Mroz looking to secure an arm triangle but Shinault defends it well.
Mroz controlling his opponent.

Mroz landing shots from mount.
Shinault knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mroz on the ground.

Mroz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shinault 's face.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mroz lands a heavy elbow.
Shinault keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mroz with the ground and pound from mount.
Mroz avoids the attempt from Shinault to control.
The referee warns Shinault that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mroz breaks from Shinault 's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukasz Mroz dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mroz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Shinault can't keep his opponent in guard - Mroz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Mroz seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Shinault is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lukasz Mroz!
