Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Crosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Crosby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Walker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Crosby misses with a takedown

and Walker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Crosby is retaining full guard.
Crosby wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment.
Walker wants to stand and escape but instead Crosby has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Crosby passes Walker's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Walker pushes Crosby off looking to stand but Crosby dives back in and keeps control.
Walker is staying active underneath Crosby, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Walker manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Crosby wants to pass the guard but Walker is keeping the position.
Crosby stopping the sweep attempt from Walker.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Crosby decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Walker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Crosby counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Crosby.
Walker looks gassed!
Crosby controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Crosby trying to stand up but can't free himself from Walker's guard.
Crosby is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker working for a triangle but Crosby defends it easily.

Crosby wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.

Crosby looking to sit in guard and control but Walker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crosby swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Peter Crosby just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
The fight stays on the outside here - Crosby looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Walker takes the fight into the clinch.
Crosby is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Walker pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Walker prevents the takedown attempt.
Crosby tries to score a body lock takedown but Walker shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Crosby is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Walker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crosby.

Walker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Walker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Walker wants to stand but Crosby is controlling the position.
Walker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Walker throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Crosby drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Walker dives on top into guard.
Walker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Walker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crosby swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Walker trying to control but Crosby is working from the bottom.

Walker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Crosby manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Walker has Crosby in his guard.
Walker is trying to keep Crosby in close.
Walker being controlled here, momentarily.

Walker keeping moving, preventing Crosby from controlling successfully.
Walker is trying to keep Crosby in close.
Crosby slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Crosby wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
Walker tries to strike from the bottom.
Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crosby is one step ahead there.

Walker wants to clinch but Crosby slips to the side

and Crosby moves into the clinch.
Crosby tries to pull guard but Walker won't allow it.

Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Walker misses with a double jab

and Crosby counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Walker controls Crosby momentarily but Crosby frees himself.
Crosby controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Crosby wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
Walker wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Crosby dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Walker drives through with a takedown into guard.
Crosby controls Walker momentarily but Walker frees himself.
Walker prevents Crosby from getting back to his feet.

Crosby wants to control the position but Walker says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Crosby is looking to control Walker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Crosby avoid being mounted?
Peter Crosby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Walker is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Crosby has managed to free his arm - good work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Walker wants to work for an arm triangle but Crosby is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Crosby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Crosby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Walker lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crosby!

Walker breaks from Crosby's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Walker working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Crosby slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Walker tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Walker is pressing down on Crosby's thigh, looking to free his foot. Crosby is holding on for now.

Crosby is doing well to control the position and prevent Walker from advancing to side control.
Crosby gets back to full guard.
Crosby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Walker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Walker wants to stand but Crosby has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Carl Walker.
