Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christophe Duggary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Noel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggary comes to the cage accompanied by Remember The Name Remix. Jay Noel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christophe Duggary! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Noel! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noel ducks under a wild hook from Duggary. Duggary tries to bum rush Noel with a series of wild strikes but Noel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Noel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Duggary moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fighters circling - Duggary throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Duggary tries to score a power double leg takedown but Noel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Duggary somewhat. Duggary slips a jab and a cross from Noel.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Duggary. Duggary tries to clinch up. Duggary slips a jab and a cross from Noel.
Duggary misses with a straight left. Noel slaps away a takedown attempt from Duggary, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christophe Duggary. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Noel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Duggary momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Noel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Duggary counters with a nice double leg into side control. Noel won't be happy with that. Noel gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Duggary is breathing heavily. You get the feeling that Noel really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duggary looking to isolate an arm here. Noel doesn't see it coming and as Duggary extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Duggary!
