Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rico Ordonez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chavo Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has chosen Sulfur by Slipknot as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chavo Miller! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller looks to land a combination but Ordonez avoids it well. Miller fails with the takedown. Ordonez throws a one two combo.
Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ordonez manages to avoid it. Ordonez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Miller! Ordonez tries to control but Miller wriggling away. Ordonez with a couple of short strikes. Miller is squirming around, avoiding Ordonez's attempts to control the action. Ordonez landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ordonez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Miller tries to hold on but Ordonez pushes him away. Miller is working to get back to half guard.
Ordonez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Miller manages to avoid the submission attempt. Ordonez trying to control the position but Miller is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ordonez stands up and we're back to a striking position. Ordonez shoots in but no luck this time. Miller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rico Ordonez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chavo Miller. Miller looks gassed! Ordonez throws a head kick that misses. Ordonez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Miller wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ordonez has him pressed against the cage. Ordonez tries to pull guard but Miller holds him up against the cage and eventually Ordonez drops back down to his feet.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Ordonez pulls guard effortlessly. Miller postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is fighting to break Ordonez's control of his arms but Ordonez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ordonez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Miller passes into half guard.
Miller wants to stand up but Ordonez has a hold of him and won't allow it. Ordonez controlling the position well. Ordonez works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miller won't allow Ordonez to get back to his feet. Ordonez wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment. Miller decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ordonez, up you get! Ordonez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard. Ordonez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miller is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Rico Ordonez dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ordonez looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ordonez throws a head kick but Miller moves out of range.
Miller fails with a takedown attempt. Ordonez has Miller up against the cage in a clinch.
Miller tries to break the clinch but Ordonez is controlling the position. Miller has had enough of the clinch but Ordonez keeps him there for the moment. Ordonez tries to pull guard but Miller holds him up against the cage and eventually Ordonez drops back down to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rico Ordonez. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ordonez breaks from the clinch.
Miller moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Miller is breathing heavily. Ordonez misses with a hook to the body
and Miller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ordonez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ordonez scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wants to sweep here but Ordonez controlling him for the moment. Miller is trying to keep Ordonez in close.
Ordonez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ordonez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ordonez trying to control the pace. Miller is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ordonez working the head and body with strikes. Ordonez wants to pass the guard but Miller is defending well. Ordonez trying to advance position but Miller counters by regaining guard. Ordonez sitting in guard here, content to control. Ordonez trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ordonez content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ordonez wanted to stand there but Miller had control of the position. Ordonez lands a couple of elbows. Ordonez wants to stand but Miller has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ordonez trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Miller wants to stand but Ordonez is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ordonez moves into the clinch successfully.
Ordonez pulls guard effortlessly. Ordonez wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment. Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ordonez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ordonez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ordonez controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Ordonez dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ordonez wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance. Miller moves out of range as Ordonez throws a body kick.
Nice shot by Miller. Miller shoots in and drives through. Ordonez sprawls well. Ordonez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ordonez is working for takedown but Miller is calmly controlling the position for now. Miller gets underhooks to prevent Ordonez's takedown attempt.

Ordonez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Miller sprawls well initially but Ordonez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ordonez prevents Miller from standing back up.

Rico Ordonez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Miller is not going to allow Ordonez to sit and survive in this position. Miller is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ordonez knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ordonez for a finish. Chavo Miller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Miller has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ordonez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

And that's the end of the fight! Rico Ordonez showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ordonez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
